Pre Meet email: PCNM vs JBRS 2.0

Good Evening Waverunners!

Tomorrow evening is our repeat meet vs JBRS (Jones Bridge River Station). We are swimming at home. This was a necessary change and adds a little extra work for us, but we have made some adjustments to the events and we have a 6th lane which should make the meet faster.

If you can help with set-up at 4 pm it would be much appreciated!

If you can help with clean up and resetting the pool after it is also appreciated. This is an added meet, so we have not assigned anyone to this task. Some JBRS volunteers will pitch in to help.

Swimmer arrival: 5 pm. Meet starts at 6 pm.

Theme: Neon

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

***Changes to the meet: Events #75 & 76 (9 & 10 freestyle relays) will be the first events swum so that these younger swimmers can leave earlier if they are not in later events. Event #1 will not be repeated. Some events will be combined if possible, for example boy and girl relays to use all lanes. Some heats only have absent swimmers and will be skipped. With these changes it is especially important to pay attention to the bullpen numbers and make sure your swimmer stays close and listens to our “Bull Hens” volunteers.

***Please check your swimmers in with a bullpen volunteer when you arrive.

***Please have your swimmers stay in the bullpen. If they cannot be easily found they will miss their events. Our bullpen volunteers work very hard to find and line up swimmers, but cannot be looking in our parent section every event. Thank you for helping with this!

***The weather is expected to be very hot and dry. But things can change. Please DO NOT LEAVE if we have a delay. Please make sure your swimmer has water and is hydrating.

** In case of weather changes, please know that WE DO NOT LEAVE THE SWIM MEET and return home. We would leave the pool deck area. Swimmers and their families would go to their cars to wait for any inclement weather to clear. But it is more advantageous for us to swim the meet Monday than try to reschedule (again). I will communicate weather related information, like when to return to the pool deck, via Remind. Please download this now if you have not. Register HERE

***Please check the relay board in the bullpen to see if your swimmer is in a relay. We do swim some swimmers up- into the next age group- as needed. Ask a coach or the bullpen if you are unsure. Relays are fluid, so double check before you leave!

***PLEASE CHECK RESULTS BOARD as times are posted throughout the meet and communicate any discrepancies ASAP. For example, if you have a “NS” code - it means “No Swim” and if your child swam, they should have a time reported.

***If you are leaving prior to your swimmer completing their events, please please let our bullpen know so they do not search for these phantom swimmers.
