Pre-Meet Email: JBRS vs PCNM

Good Morning Waverunners! This email is very long, but each item is important. Please read the full email.

Today is meet #3 and we are away at JBRS (Jones Bridge River Station). They have construction on the sewers behind the pool that is supposed to end by 5 pm. Please be cautious and keep your swimmer away from these areas.

Address: 4669 Outer Bank Dr, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092

If you want to parade to the pool we are meeting at our pool lot to decorate cars at 4:15 and the parade will leave at 4:45.

If you are not joining the parade, please arrive at 5:00 pm at JBRS.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

***Please check your swimmers in with a bullpen volunteer when you arrive.

***Parking rules: Please observe the “no parking” signs in the neighborhood and park only on the designated side of the roads, even after the signs end.  Cars cannot be on both sides of the road in the neighborhood.

***JBRS is a 5 lane pool and they do not have room for our bullpen inside the pool gate. There is a good sized grass portion on the right before you enter the pool where our team will be, but have your kids bring chairs or extra towels to sit on in case the ground is wet. We will tarp the ground and have 3 tents, but be prepared for wet conditions and mud. Parent seating area will be on the right side of the pool deck as you enter. JBRS asks our parents to leave enough of a walkway for all swimmers to make it to staging.

***Please have your swimmers stay in the bullpen. If they cannot be easily found they will miss their events. Our bullpen volunteers work very hard to find and line up swimmers, but cannot be looking in our parent section every event. Thank you for helping with this!

***The weather is very iffy tonight. We will be swimming unless conditions become severe or last too long to complete enough of the meet. We have to swim at least to event #42 to count the meet. Please DO NOT LEAVE if we have a delay.

** In case of weather changes, please know that WE DO NOT LEAVE THE SWIM MEET and return home. We would leave the pool deck area. Any weather delays will just change the timing of the meet. Swimmers and their families would go to their cars to wait for any inclement weather to clear. But it is more advantageous for us to swim the meet tonight than try to reschedule. Please pack extra activities, snacks, towels and anything else you need to entertain your swimmer in your car for delays. I will communicate weather related information, like when to return to the pool deck, via Remind. Please download this now if you have not.

***Please check the relay board in the bullpen, ask if you need help. We will be swimming some swimmers up into the next age group if needed, so make sure you check the older group also. Ask a coach or the bullpen if you are unsure. Relays are fluid, so double check before you leave!

***PLEASE CHECK RESULTS BOARD as times are posted throughout the meet and communicate any discrepancies ASAP. For example, if you have a “NS” code - it means “No Swim” and if your child swam, they should have a time reported.

***If you are leaving prior to your swimmer completing their events, please please let our bullpen know so they do not search for these phantom swimmers.
