Hi Waverunners! I can’t believe this is our last week of practice for the regular swim season! Let’s make this a great week of practice and get ready for our last swim meet this Thursday at Spalding Corners! Weather-wise - this is looking to be a very hot week. Please make sure you are registered through the Remind app for weather communication. I hope you all can attend our last Fun Friday on 6/28 as we also cheer on our Junior Waverunners at their “mini-meet”.

ACTION ITEMS:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Here is the practice schedule for this week Monday - Thursday (6/24 - 6/27):

• Endurance (M/T/W): 7:15am - 8:15am (For 11& ups who want a more challenging practice)
• 7 & 8s: 8:15am - 9:00am
• 6 & unders: 9:00am - 9:30am (includes Junior Waverunners)
• 9 & 10s: 9:30am - 10:30am
• 11 & ups: 10:30am - 11:30am

Evening Practice (Mon, Tues, Wed) is open to 8 & up swimmers that cannot attend a morning practice.

• Advanced sign-ups are required for adequate staffing.

Wednesday, 6/26: We have Spirit Night at Chipotle, 5 - 9PM! Click HERE for flyer! Take a night off from cooking and support our team at the Chipotle at the Forum. Please share with your friends so that they can support us too!

High Schoolers - interested in Norcross Swim and Dive? Barbara Taylor from NHS wanted us to provide any interested swimmers with some important upcoming season information for the Norcross High School Swim and Dive team.

Enjoying Summer Swim? Consider joining the swim & dive team at Norcross High School this year. The Norcross program runs October-January and is open to students attending Norcross, Paul Duke and homeschool high school students zoned for NHS. Students should look for information at school and in the school newsletters starting in September.

Tentative dates for the fall:

• Parent Meeting - Sept. 25th (at Norcross High)
• Tryouts - Oct. 7 (at West Gwinnett Aquatic Center)

PCSR is hosting kid tennis camps! These are great camps for beginning players, but also those with some experience playing - they are a lot of fun! To sign up for next week or the week after, click HERE. This is led by fellow swim team parent and professional tennis coach Seth Redelheim. The practices work around our swim team schedule. The Competitive Academy is for ages 12 and up with playing experience (ALTA, USTA, matches).

County Results: Please click HERE to view the most recent Week 4 Individual results. Week 5 will be released soon after our last meet on Thursday.  Reply to Kristin Rosencrants by email if your swimmer would like to go to County if they qualify. County practice will begin next week if your swimmer is in the Top 100 or needed for relays. More info to come!

Personal Note from Swim Chair - I am still looking for two people to replace me for this next swim season. This is my 2nd year as chair, and I will not be able to do it next year. We have a multitude of files in our team Google Drive and I will be happy to show the next two people what planning looks like as we have our last away meet this week.
