6/12 - Away Meet tomorrow vs. PSST/Peachtree Station
Hi Waverunners! Tomorrow night we are swimming at Peachtree Station. It looks like it will be HOT - the high is right at 90. Please make sure your swimmer hydrates well throughout the day. Please note the time adjustments for the meet tomorrow. It will be a fun meet with our Coaches and Parent Relays - Peachtree Station is always so much fun to swim with! If there are any weather changes during the meet, I will communicate them through the Remind App, so please make sure you are registered. (click HERE)! All weather delays will be communicated through the Remind App–not through Swimtopia. If you did not receive a Remind message earlier today about our Spirit Night, then you are not registered! Thanks to all that supported us at Panda Express!

Swim Across America is dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swim related events. GCSL decided this year to dedicate the week of June 13th to support the local mission of SAA. Each team will host their own collection and fundraising event this week. GCSL will post photos of events on social media to share the events taking place throughout our pools this week.
Direct Donation Link - Watch our team standings against others in the league. Together we can make a huge difference against battling cancer. Our Lucky Ducks fundraiser will go to this cause - thanks for all that have supported!

MEET INFORMATION:
ADDRESS:
3930 Eastman Trail
Norcross, GA 30092
PARKING:
Parking is a premium at PSST on swim meet nights. With 2 teams and over 300 swimmers and their families the parking lot and neighborhood streets are quite crowded. Once the parking lot fills up, PSST asks that swimmers park on only 1 side of the street. There will be signs to help everyone know which side to use. PSST appreciates your help with this. We need to make sure an emergency vehicle can get into and out of the area if needed.

VOLUNTEERS
- Please check in with your volunteer head when you arrive.
- WE NEED ALL FAMILIES TO VOLUNTEER DURING THE MEET!!! We CANNOT run a swim meet without all hands on deck!
- If you don’t know where to volunteer please find me (Ryan Corley) or Sara Kroening. We will show you where to go!
CONCESSIONS MENU
*Their Piranha Café will be open and offering a variety of items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza and candy.
ADDITIONAL REMINDERS:
*PLEASE watch your kids and keep an eye on the bullpen staging number! To keep the meet running smoothly, the bullpen needs to line up the kids quickly and efficiently; the bullpen volunteers don’t have time to track down every missing swimmer. Please watch your kids, keep an eye on the bullpen staging number, and ensure your swimmer lines up on time.
- PSST has a playground and sand area and I know it is tempting - but we really need all swimmers to stay in the bullpen area. We have had a hard time especially with our 10 and under swimmers. We cannot guarantee that they will be able to swim if we are having trouble locating your child at lineup time. Plus, we want swimmers to rest - it will be hot tomorrow.
*DO NOT LEAVE until you have checked the relay board! The relay board can and will change often during a swim meet…kids will also “swim up” and swim with an older age group…double and triple check your child’s name several times during the meet to see if he/she is needed for a relay!
*IF YOU NOTICE ANY SCORING/TIMING ISSUES - For example, your child swam an individual stroke, but it shows a result of NS for No Swim. Or anything unusual - please let us know. Cayman James is our Head Computer and Swim Team board member. She will be in the PSST clubhouse with score verification and you can come and find her. It is better for us to try and resolve it at the meet while timers and stroke and turn judges are present. I encourage you to use the Swimtopia App and check the scoring sheets throughout the meet.
*Any WEATHER DELAYS will be communicated via the Remind App. Not registered? Please register HERE
SPECIAL NOTE FROM OUR COACHES: Parents, we are seeing an uptick in ear infections - middle ear or swimmer’s ear. One prevention tip - is after your child is home from swimming, you can use a solution of 50/50 - rubbing alcohol and white distilled vinegar. Using a medicine dropper, place some drops of this in each ear. There are also water drying ear drops that you can get at CVS or Target. Wearing a swim cap during practice and meets can be helpful.
