ACTION ITEMS:

• Parent Relay! We are bringing back the parent & coaches relay at our meet vs. Peachtree Station! If you would like to swim in our parent relay before the meet, please reach out to Teale Nist. This is such a fun event and we are excited to bring back this fantastic tradition! :) Teale’s email: [email protected] There is a practice for interested parents this Thursday morning with the coaches, from 7:15 - 8:15am.
• We will plan to meet at our pool parking lot @ 4PM Thursday to decorate cars, posters, and caravan over to Peachtree Station!
• Remind App - if there are any changes to practices due to weather, we will be communicating them through this app and NOT by email. Sign up HERE or text @pcwave24 to the number 81010 from your cell phone.

*** This week, all of the Gwinnett County Swim League will have their meets on 6/13 this week with an “American” theme for Swim Across America, which is a fundraising organization that hosts charity swims to help fund Pediatric Cancer research. All proceeds from our Lucky Ducks fundraiser this week will go to Swim Across America, which locally will go to the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center - Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. If you would like to make an additional donation to Swim Across America on behalf of the PC Waverunners, click HERE and select our team. On Thursday, you can have your swimmers with Americana type themed accessories- red, white, and blue. We will likely see it at Peachtree Station as their theme, but we can participate as well.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Here is the practice schedule for this week Monday - Thursday (6/10 - 6/13):

• Endurance (M/T/W): 7:15am - 8:15am (For 11& ups who want a more challenging practice)
• 7 & 8s: 8:15am - 9:00am
• 6 & unders: 9:00am - 9:30am (includes Junior Waverunners)
• 9 & 10s: 9:30am - 10:30am
• 11 & ups: 10:30am - 11:30am

Evening Practice (Mon, Tues, Wed) is open to 8 & up swimmers that cannot attend a morning practice.

• Advanced sign-ups are required for adequate staffing.

Stroke Clinics - Did your swimmer DQ at the meet? Need some extra help with a stroke? Sign up for a stroke clinic (or two)! $15 per session, per swimmer. :)

• To register for a stroke clinic on June 15th or June 22nd, click HERE **June 22nd is our last stroke clinic date. Sign-ups are only taken online and they close on Friday afternoon so that we know the number of swimmers, their names, and to staff the clinics appropriately.

  • 9:00AM - 10:00AM: Dives (ALL ages)
  • 10:00AM - 11:00 AM: Breaststroke (ages 7 & up)
  • June 22nd (** Registrations will close on Friday, 6/21 at 2pm)
    • 9:00AM - 10:00AM : Turns (7 & up)
    • 10:00AM - 11:00 AM: IM/Individual Medley (7 & up)

This week, Wednesday, 6/12 - Take a break from cooking! We have our Team Spirit Night at Panda Express, 3200 Holcomb Bridge Rd. They will donate 20% of sales to benefit our team. Come anytime between 10AM and 10PM. :)

Next week - Pasta Potluck is back! We have it next week, 6/19, the Wednesday before our Home Meet! Please RSVP HERE with what you can bring and so that we know how many of you are coming!

PCSR is hosting kid tennis camps! These are great camps for beginning players, but also those with some experience playing - they are a lot of fun! To sign up for next week or the week after, click HERE. This is led by fellow swim team parent and professional tennis coach Seth Redelheim. The practices work around our swim team schedule. The Competitive Academy is for ages 12 and up with playing experience (ALTA, USTA, matches).
