Hi Waverunners!

Thanks to everyone for a great first week of practice--I saw lots of smiling kids (and parents!) on the pool deck!

*The weather looks iffy this week. As always I will be monitoring the weather and if I need to cancel practices due to bad weather/storms I will send all notifications through the Remind App. If you haven’t already, please see below on how to sign up.

*After only a week of practice our Lost & Found is already over-flowing! Missing a towel, goggles, swim cap or shoes??? If so, make sure to check out the items next to the soda machine! :)

• Here is the practice schedule for Monday - Friday (5/15 - 5/19): *NO PRACTICE ON TUESDAY 5/16 - INDIVIDUAL & TEAM PICTURES INSTEAD
  
  
  • High School: 3:45 - 4:45pm
  • 6 & Unders: 4:45 - 5:15 pm (Does NOT include the Wavewalkers)
  • 7 & 8s: 5:15 - 5:45 pm
  • 9 & 10s: 5:45 - 6:30 pm
  • Middle School: 6:30 - 7:15 pm

• Swim Team Pictures: Individual & Team pictures will be held in place of practice on Tuesday, May 16th. I have attached the order form to the email. If you are not able to take individual pictures on the 16th the photographer will hold a make-up session at his pool on Saturday, May 20th.
  
  
  • Individual Pictures: 4:30 - 5:30pm (sign up for a time slot HERE)
  • Team Picture: 5:30pm

• Remind App: For quick updates during the season (like lightning delays, practice/meet reminders, etc) this is how I will communicate with you. To join, click HERE or on your cell text 81010 and text this message: @pcwaverun

• Inclement Weather: If practices are canceled or meets are delayed I will communicate this info through the Remind App. Please make sure that you are registered!

• 2023 Youth Swimming Championships on June 10th: I received this information from my Gwinnett County Swim League contacts and I’m passing it along…The 33rd Annual Youth Swimming Championships is on June 10th at the Cherokee Aquatic Center. This is open to all Georgia youth summer swimmers across the state. For more information please see the attached flyer or email [email protected].

• Team Fundraiser: Jenn Gaulding is also collecting old Waverunner swimsuits that your child has outgrown. She will have the donated swimsuits for sale during the first few weeks of practices. If you have any Waverunner suits that you would like to donate, please contact Jenn. All proceeds from the sales of the suits will be put towards the swim team.
