Please Pick Up Your Awards & Ribbons!
August 2nd
Hi Waverunners!
Just a few things before school starts tomorrow…
- If you missed the awards ceremony, all participation medals and awards have been placed in the plastic bins by the new record board.
- If your child swam at county, all ribbons and pins have been placed in the plastic bins by the new record board.
*I’ll leave the awards bins out until Labor Day. Please pick up your ribbons, medals and awards before then. THANKS! :)
*If you are already planning for next summer, the GCSL Championship Meet will be July 7 - 9, 2023.
I’ve recently received several emails about Year-Round Swim Opportunities. If interested, please see below for more information.
- Norcross Junior Blue Devils. Please see the attached pdf for more information.
- Georgia Swimming. Good day to you and your family. My name is John Pepper, and I am the Business Manager for Georgia Swimming. As the summer swim league season has come to an end, we at Georgia Swimming would like to say congratulations to all of the year-round swimmers who swam in the Championship meet and welcome those swimmers who just started this summer with swimming on a summer league team. We at Georgia Swimming want to make sure that you, the parent of a Summer League Swimmer that is not on a year-round team, are given all the information needed about continuing swimming beyond the summer season. We have 68 club teams throughout the state of Georgia and several in just your neighborhood. We know that several clubs have come to some of the summer meets or had a booth at Georgia Tech during your Summer Championship Meet, but not all the teams were able to be there. We want to let you know that we have a list of all the clubs listed here for you to find a year-round club near you. These clubs/teams offer several different levels for all swimmers and their ability. If you have little future swimmers in your family, these same clubs offer year-round swim lessons too and those little swimmers can continue working on their swimming skills during the fall and winter seasons to be ready to swim with their friends or siblings next summer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me (John Pepper) at [email protected]. Thank you for your time and I look forward to helping you.
