Hi Waverunners!

Tomorrow night we swim against Spalding Corners! Since it’s our last home meet of the season we will also honor our seniors. Come wearing NEON, stay for the ice cream social after the meet, and cheer loudly for our seniors! It’s going to be a great night!

*Fun Friday on Friday (6/10) from 10am - 11am. Fun Friday is open to all Waverunners. We will swim, celebrate our swimmers, and slime the coaches all while eating donuts. :)

*Heat Sheet is attached. No heat sheets will be for sale at the meet–please print a copy for yourselves at home.

A few reminders for tomorrow’s home meet…

*PLEASE watch your kids and keep an eye on the bullpen staging number! To keep the meet running smoothly, the bullpen needs to line up the kids quickly and efficiently; the bullpen volunteers don’t have time to track down every missing swimmer. Please watch your kids, keep an eye on the bullpen staging number, and ensure your swimmer lines up on time.

*PLEASE make sure your kids STAY OUT OF THE POOL (especially the shallow end). With the exception of the swimmers in the event, no one may enter the pool during the swim meet–even to just “play on the steps”.

*DO NOT LEAVE until you have checked the relay board! The relay board can and will change often during a swim meet…double and triple check your child’s name several times during the meet to see if he/she is needed for a relay!

PCNM Hosts SC Dual Meet 6/9

• Meet Schedule:
  • 5pm: Waverunners arrive (please don’t arrive before 4:50pm – the set-up crew will still be getting the deck ready for the meet!)
  • 5:10pm: Waverunners warm-up in the pool
  • 5:30pm: SC warms up in the pool
  • 6pm: Meet Starts
• What to Bring?
  • Extra towels
  • Sunscreen
  • Goggles & swim caps
  • Sharpies
  • Cash for concessions
  • Chairs (the pool deck will be cleared of furniture for the meet)
• Where to park?
  • We will have limited spaces in the PCSR parking lot for tomorrow.
  • Simpsonwood UMC is allowing us to park in their parking lot for our Thursday night meets.
  • Please obey all “No Parking” signs

• Where to Go?
  • When you arrive, head to the Bullpen (under the pavilion).
  • Home team (us) is under the pavilion
  • SC (the visiting team) is on the basketball court
  • Consult the Heat Sheet (attached) to learn which events your child will be swimming. Using a Sharpie, write your swimmer's events on his/her shoulder, arm, or leg.
  • Check the Relay Board (located in the bullpen)
    • Tips…
    • Put sunscreen on first and let dry before writing in Sharpie
    • Ask an older swimmer or an experienced parent on how to read a heat sheet and write the events/heats/lane on your kid! :)
  • Volunteers: Check in with your lead volunteer. Every meet requires lots of help…THANK YOU in advance for helping!! Not sure where to go…just find me and I can help direct you! :)

  • If we need to have a weather delay and clear the deck (due to thunder or lightning) I will communicate through the Remind App.

• Inclement Weather
  • If we have a weather delay and need to clear the pool deck, you will need to wait in your car. PLEASE DO NOT GO HOME!! I will communicate when to return to the pool deck through the Remind App.
