Meet Tomorrow vs. Spalding Corners!
Hi Waverunners!
Tomorrow is our final meet of the season….I cannot believe I just typed that! WOW!! We are swimming (virtually) against Spalding Corners. Since this is a virtual meet we will swim at our pool and they are swimming at their pool. The computer will merge the results and we should know the winners by Friday (fingers crossed!!). :)
Practice schedule for tomorrow (Thursday 6/24)
- 8 & Unders: 8:30 - 9:15am
- 9 & 10s: 9:15 - 10:15am
- 11 & Up: 10:15 - 11:15am
PCNM vs. SC Meet - Thursday 6/24 **SENIOR NIGHT! Wear red, white & blue! :)
- Meet Schedule:
- Arrival for all swimmers: 5pm
- Warm-ups begin: 5:15pm
- Volunteers check in by 5:45 with their lead volunteers
- Meet Start: 6pm
- What to Bring?
- Extra towels
- Sunscreen
- Sharpies
- Cash for concessions
- Chairs (the pool deck will be cleared of furniture for the meet)
- Wear red, white & blue!
- Where to park?
- We will have limited spaces in the PCSR parking lot for tomorrow.
- Simpsonwood UMC is allowing our team to park in their parking lot for our Thursday night meets.
- Please obey all “No Parking” signs
- Where to Go?
- Head to your Bullpen Location upon arrival
- 10 & Unders will be under the tents on the basketball court
- 11 & Ups will be under the pavilion
- Consult the Heat Sheet (attached) to learn which events your child will be swimming. Using a Sharpie, write your swimmer's events on his/her shoulder, arm, or leg.
- Tips…
- Put sunscreen on first and let dry before writing in Sharpie
- Ask an older swimmer or an experienced parent on how to read a heat sheet and write the events/heats/lane on your kid! :)
- Make sure to check the relay board!! Double & triple check the board to see if you are needed!
- Tomorrow we will host Azzurri In A Hurry in our parking lot. Come support this local food truck and have pizza and wings for dinner tomorrow!

- Masks are encouraged and we ask that you social distance
- For this meet we are opening up the meet for anyone to attend. However, our expectation is that everyone will try to maintain social distance.
Fun Friday!
- Friday 6/25 from 9:30am - 11am
- Our last Fun Friday is this Friday. Come join us at 9:30am to cheer on the Wavewalkers during their “meet”, enjoy a donut and then swim in the pool with your teammates!
County Championship (7/9 - 7/11 @ Georgia Tech)
- I should receive more info very soon from GCSL about County. As soon as I find out more about volunteer opportunities, drop-off & pick-up procedures for swimmers, live-streaming and event updates I will let you know.
