Meet Tomorrow vs. Fields Club!
Hi Waverunners!
Looking forward to our third meet of the season! We are swimming (virtually) against the Fields Club. Since this is a virtual meet we will swim at our pool and they are swimming at their pool. The computer will merge the results and we should know the winners by Friday (fingers crossed!!). :)
*Heat sheet will be emailed out tomorrow as soon as it’s ready!
Practice schedule for tomorrow (Thursday 6/17)
- 8 & Unders: 8:30 - 9:15am
- 9 & 10s: 9:15 - 10:15am
- 11 & Up: 10:15 - 11:15am
Stroke Clinic: Saturday 6/19 (Last stroke clinic of the season)
- 9am: Breaststroke (7 & up) - pull-out, stroke efficiency, kick, etc.
- 10am: Starts & Dives (7 & up) - dives, under-waters, pull-out, relay starts, etc.
- Register HERE (Registration will close at 11:59pm Thursday 6/17 for this Saturday’s session so we have time to staff & prepare for the clinics)
FLDS vs. PCNM Meet - Thursday 6/17 **SUPERHERO NIGHT! - Wear your best superhero attire!
- Meet Schedule:
- Arrival for all swimmers: 5pm
- Warm-ups begin: 5:15pm
- Volunteers check in by 5:45 with their lead volunteers
- Meet Start: 6pm
- What to Bring?
- Extra towels
- Sunscreen
- Sharpies
- Cash for concessions
- Chairs (the pool deck will be cleared of furniture for the meet)
- Superhero attire!! :)
- Where to park?
- We will have limited spaces in the PCSR parking lot for tomorrow.
- Simpsonwood UMC is allowing our team to park in their parking lot for our Thursday night meets.
- Please obey all “No Parking” signs
- Where to Go?
- Head to your Bullpen Location upon arrival
- 10 & Unders will be under the tents on the basketball court
- 11 & Ups will be under the pavilion
- Consult the Heat Sheet (will be sent tomorrow) to learn which events your child will be swimming. Using a Sharpie, write your swimmer's events on his/her shoulder,arm, or leg.
- Tips…
- Put sunscreen on first and let dry before writing in Sharpie
- Ask an older swimmer or an experienced parent on how to read a heat sheet and write the events/heats/lane on your kid! :)
- Make sure to check the relay board!! Double & triple check the board to see if you are needed!
- Unfortunately our food truck scheduled for tomorrow cancelled due to staffing issues. :( But the great news is that we will be selling hot dogs and sausages at concessions!! A HUGE thank you to the Kroening family for making this happen!
- Masks are encouraged and we ask that you social distance
- For this meet we are opening up the meet for anyone to attend. However, our expectation is that everyone will try to maintain social distance
Fun Friday!
- Friday, 6/18 from 10am - 10:30am
- The coaches will have fun relays for the kids (all dry-land), the kids will get to squirt the coaches with water guns and we’ll end with a special treat!
County Championship
